Communication & Media Cell, Toronto; July 20, 2014: MQM Canada organized Iftaar-Dinners and Mehfil-e-Naat across Canadian chapters including Toronto, Calgary, Montreal, Windsor, Edmonton in the blessed month of Ramadan. Among the attendees were Canadian-Pakistani Diaspora and people from vivid social, religious & political background. A large number of Chapter members, office bearers and supporters along with Central organizer, Joint Organizer & central committee members attended the event.

Senior MQM Leader & Member of Provincial assembly of Sindh Province of Pakistan Zareen Majeed Baji exclusively attended the Iftaar-Dinner & Mehfil-e-Naat on Sunday July 6th at a local community centre in Mississauga. Other notable present were Associate Minister of Health & Long Term Care, Member of Provincial Parliament of the province of Ontario Hon. Dipika Damerla ; Councillor Ward-5 & Mayor Candidate Mississauga Bonnie Crombie ,Conservative Party Riding contestant Tim Iqbal & local body candidate from Mississauga Syed Saeed Ahmed.

Central Organizer MQM Canada in his speech highlighted the spirit of Fasting & thanks the attendees for being the part of the event . He highlighted the Philosophy of Founder and Leader of MQM , Mr Altaf Hussain , describing MQM politics as services based politics with malign towards none. Associate Minister Hon. Dipika Damerla congratulated Muslim community on month of Fasting. Talking to the media team, the Ward-5 Councillor, Bonnie Crombie, expressed her views about tremendous contribution of MQM Canada towards community services. She also commended Altaf Hussian & MQM politics of devolution of power & struggle for the unprivileged and deprived people.
