Annual BBQ Picnic was
organized by MSRC, Mississauga
Annual BBQ Picnic was organized by MSRC (Mutahidda
Sports & Recreation Club) on Saturday the July 24, 2010
at Mississauga Valley Park, Mississauga. A large number
of men, women, children and elderly people have attended
and enjoyed this event despite of heavy rain fall in
Greater Toronto Area. Beside the BBQ Grills, organizers
have arranged various stalls, games, magic show and
lucky draws for the great interest of participants and
their kids. A large number of office bearers of local
print media were also present to cover this event. MSRC
has been organizing and hosting many fun and interesting
events for youths and communities since last many years.

Meeting with President Obama’s Advisor on International
Economic Affairs: Communication & Media Cell, MQM Canada; Toronto; May
02, 2010: A high profile delegation of MQM comprising of the Deputy Convener of
MQM and Parliamentary Leader of MQM in National Assembly Dr. Farooque Sattar, former
Federal Minster and Patron-in-Chief of MQM North America Dr. Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui,
and Patron MQM USA and Canada Ibad Rehman, visited white House and met with the
President Obama’s Advisor on International Economic Affairs Mr. David Lipton on
Sunday the last.
Dr, David Lipton is a senior national security advisor to President Obama on international
security affairs. During the 45 minutes meeting, bilateral affairs as well as the
effects of international economic crisis on Pakistan, measures to be taken by America
for stabilization of Pakistan’s economy, providing access to the Pakistani manufacturers
and the products to the American markets, and the economic development of the terror-stricken
northern areas of Pakistan were discussed. David Lipton showed great interest in
Mr. Altaf Hussain's struggle for the empowerment of the common class of Pakistan
and fully agreed to the fact that this would be the only real solution to all problems
in Pakistan.

of State Department in Washington
The Delegation Was Received at the Front Gate of The
State Department by Holbrook: Communication & Media Cell, MQM Canada;
Toronto; May 01, 2010: A high profile delegation of MQM comprising of the deputy
Convener of MQM and member National Assembly of Pakistan Dr. Farooque Sattar met
with the State Department’s Special Representative for Afghanistan and Pakistan
Richard Holbrook and other high ranking officials of the State Department today
in Washington. The delegation was received at the front gate of the central office
of the State Department by Richard Holbrook and the other officials.
In an hour long meeting, talking on affairs of mutual interest, internal and external
threats to Pakistan, economic and financial situation of Pakistan, shortage of water
and electricity in Pakistan, and many other issues pertaining to Pakistan, Dr. Farooque
Sattar said that apart from the American cooperation in the resolution of these
issues, the financial and economic situation of Pakistan can be helped with increased
trade with Pakistan and access of Pakistani products and trade to the international
markets. While elaborating on the importance of Pakistanis in America, Dr. Farooque
Sattar said that one hand these responsible Pakistani American are participating
in strengthening the American economy and on the other hand they are supporting
Pakistani economy from here.
Richard Holbrook and the other officials endorsed MQM’s Middle Order Government
philosophy and said that the solution to the existing problems of Pakistan is hidden
in this philosophy and the rule of the middle class can take Pakistan to the route
of prosperity.

Mr Ibad-ur-Rehman visited MQM Canada Units during his Cross Canada organizational
Tour. Mr. Ibad visited Montreal, Ottawa, Toronto East, Toronto West, Windsor, Saskatoon,
Calgary, Edmonton and Vancouver units, met MQM workers and discussed organizational
matters and local issues.
During his visit Mr. Ibad congratulated MQM Workers from all units of Canada and
praised their hard work for organizational and community work which made MQM Canada’s
platform the most disciplined and the largest platform of Pakistani Canadians across
Canada. He said that it was all possible only because of the inherent philosophy
and charismatic leadership of MQM Leader Mr. Altaf Hussain.
He said that today we can proudly say that MQM Canada is the only Platform of Pakistani
Canadians who is organized from east coast to west coast. In his speeches Mr. Ibad
emphasised that this is a first responsibility of Pakistani Canadians to respect
and obey the laws of the land wherever we live and make ourselves and our next generation
a productive tool of the Canadian society.
Mr. Ibad said that workers of MQM Canada have always been found in the front line
when they were called in the need of humanitarian work and to help the helpless.
He mentioned 9/11 relief efforts, Hurricane Katrina, Kashmir Earthquake and many
other Catastrophic events where the workers of MQM Canada have participated to help
the victims at the first call of their leader Mr. Altaf Hussain. Mr. Ibad said that
the relief efforts of MQM workers are not only appreciated but also set an example
for others.

when the Patron MQM USA & Canada Ibad Rehman was invited at an event organized
by Atlantic Council Washington DC where the Spanish Prime Minister Jose Luis Rodriguez
Zapatero delivered a major policy address before the Atlantic Council. The Spanish

MQM Canada Meets The Consulate General of Haiti to
Offer Condolence
Press & Publications Wing, MQM Canada; Toronto; January 22, 2010: A high profile
delegation of MQM Canada comprising of members of Central Organizing Committee and
Toronto Chapter, met with the Consulate General of Haiti at Toronto, Dr. Eric A.
Pierre, to offer their condolences on the loss of thousands of lives during the
recent earthquake which encompassed the whole country of Haiti. The delegation expressed
their deep grief and sorrow on behalf of members of Pakistani community living in
Canada on the calamity. They also extended a condolence message from the leader
of MQM Mr. Altaf Hussain to the Government of Haiti and the families of the victims
of the recent earthquake in which he has expressed his deep grief, sorrow and concern
over the loss of lives and assets of people of Haiti. The delegation of MQM Canada
also explained their role in the worldwide relief efforts for Haitian victims and
assured that according to the teaching of MQM Leader Mr. Altaf Hussain MQM workers
are and will always be present for the help of humanity wherever it is needed. They
also assured the Consulate General that the leader and workers of MQM are standing
with the people and Government of Haiti at this time of test.

American Ambassador to Pakistan Anne
Patterson held detailed discussions with MQM Leader Mr. Altaf Hussain in London
The American Ambassador to Pakistan Anne W. Patterson met MQM leader Mr. Altaf Hussain
yesterday at MQM International Secretariat, London. The meeting lasted for two hours.
The US, Pakistan relations, the current political situation after the Elections
and general condition in Pakistan were discussed at length. Mr. Altaf Hussain pointed
out to the ambassador that MQM represents poor and middle class cadre in the country.
